About Daria Tataj

Dr. Daria Tataj is a recognized European expert on innovation networks. Her methodology Innovation Through Network Thinking™ helps develop new growth strategies for organizations which need to constantly innovate and which business model is based on networks.

She is an entrepreneur and an experienced board member in mid-size companies. CEO of Tataj Innovation, a strategy and investment firm, she founded the company with a mission to help build innovation districts where networks of entrepreneurial ventures can thrive.

Dr. Tataj is also a trusted policy advisor. As a Chair of High-Level Advisors to Carlos Moedas, EU Commissioner for R&I, she has a direct influence on the future of European research and innovation policy and was involved in shaping Horizon Europe, a 100 billion EUR budget for research and innovation.

Dr. Tataj was also an Executive Member at the founding Board of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (the EIT) and dedicated six years to build this daring policy experiment – a networked educational institution for the 21st century.

Author and speaker, she is often invited to give keynotes and lectures around the world. Her book ‘ Innovation and Entrepreneurship. A New Growth Model for Europe beyond the Crisis‘ was endorsed by Prof. Manuel Castells, #1 Communication Scholar in the world, as ‘the fundamental book on innovation that will reshape the way we think.’

World Economic Forum Digital Leader, she helped shape Davos agenda as a member of the Forum’s Global Agenda Council, a network of global thought leaders and shapers.

Daria founded Vital Voices Poland, a Chapter of a VV Global Partnership, a foundation which invests in women leaders around the world. She was recognized by FORTUNE Magazine, US Department of State, Vital Voices Global Partnership, and titled Innovator 2014 in Poland, her home country. She currently lives and works in Barcelona.
